"Dragon"

Dragon was a very special addition to Optimati. We were amazed when we realized we had a puppy that could sit, stand and drop on command at just six weeks. Holly had been nagging us for a pup to show and suddenly we had this small presence of black and tan following Holly everywhere and obeying her every word. Holly and Dragon quickly became a winning show team.

Dragon placed VP4 under Gergana Atanassova (Bulg)- National Rottweiler Specialty QLD Aug 08. She was critiqued as "Three months of age. Good size for age. Good bone. Alert. Excellent head. Very good stop. Medium sized correctly set ears. Dark mouth pigmentation. Dark brown eyes. Nice shoulders. Would like to see top line slightly stronger. Excellent bottom line. Excellent in front and rear. Excellent coat and excellent markings. Tail well carried. Good movement. Scissor bite.". Dragon was handled by Holly - this was Dragon's and Holly's first show and we were very proud of them both!

She has since gone on to a VP4 at the NDRC Specialty (Sept 08)and VP2 under Fernando Lucas Martins (Port) at the RCNSW Specialty(Oct 08) her critique reads "5 months old. Correct bite for age. Compact, very good substance, Very good bone. Good width. Medium to dark brown eyes. Correct stop, correct ears, correct front. Good top and bottom line. Good angulations in front and rear. Strong legs, very good coat, very good colour. Markings well defined. Very good movement, very good reach and drive, slight rise in the rear on movement."

It was a difficult decision to home Dragon when it became apparent that a genetic disorder would continue to effect her show and breed potential. Holly found it especially hard but reserves bragging rights that her pup currently resides with the Defence Force at Holsworthy Army Base. Due to her obsessive ball drive, and gun soundness Dragon has proved herself to be an asset to the Bomb Squad. In confirmation Dragon is the best of our breeding.
